Hi Judy:

I have too many clients who look at the tax angle and forget its the bottom line, after risk / reward, cost benefit analysis, rate of return etc. They lose money in transaction costs etc worrying about the tax. IMO the income tax should only come into play if your holding period is coming close the the 12 months. Even then if the fundamentals have gone south you should weight the risk of the 8% to 20% tax on the gain versus a 20% loss on the whole investment.

Congrats on your IMNX and RMBS (and semis, etc.). I read your post on the internets. They are just like the biotechs in 91 time frame (IMNX traded in the 40's on its promise). They came down to earth hard just like the internets (even YHOO and AMZN will come down @ some point). IMNX traded between 10 & 20 for 4 or 5 yrs (mid 97) before it started to recover based upon passing trials etc.

I'm sitting on some CHKPF right now. I never entered into the ARQl I mentioned. It was a brother in law of a friend. The brother in law did do due dilligence on the target but you never know where the deal stands. May be dead or in negotiations.

I see ASND has come back. I still like XYLN as a good ATM play.

Have a nice weekend.

Tim
