"What do you think about the fact that Jesus knew that being a Christian(follower of Christ) would "seperate" them from others, and that others would not like that?"
I don't think you have to worry too much about that one; you are neither separated or disliked for your "warm" and "subtle" pablum, but remain a bosom buddy of those who hate Christ. The applause and accolades you receive are well deserved and solid payment for your obeisance to the forces of evil. You will not, however, be able to carry those worldly jewels with you on that final journey, so enjoy the applause while you can. You have blended well and it will definitely help you escape any discomfort or persecution from the enemies of God in this life. Your love is their love, and your hate is their hate. Their perceptions of social comformity and discomfort is yours. But the next life is another story. There you will be judged by the Word of God and the intent of your heart, and not by how much applause you received from men in this world.
Look carefully at those who are hated by the antichrist and evil forces of this world, and you will find where the work of God is being done. The same in the days of Jesus and the Apostles. When Paul and the other Apostles and disciples were beaten and finally killed for their preaching, it was not for some face-saving lukewarm teaching but for truths that penetrate mens hearts and forced them to take side and make decisions. |
