Not many sellers coming in, even during these strong moves up. Maybe all those folks who got ABMI shares from the company as debt payoffs have now sold, so that particular downward pressure on price is gone.

Well, in the absence of ANY apparent reason for this rally, here's my theory about what's happening: Guidant is about to offer ABMI $65 million for complete buyout, just over 2 dollars per share. Stockholders will turn down the offer, which will subsequently be raised to $75 million. A competitor will then step in with a bid of $80 million, at which point Guidant will offer $105 million and stockholders will approve, putting about 3 and a half dollars per share in our pockets. Mind you, my figures may be on the low side, as I like to be conservative and had been hoping for 4 dollars per share.

Um, well, anybody have a BETTER theory??????
