You're joking (about LU dilution), right?

Current IFMX market cap is less than 1% of LU market cap.

I think Lucent is trying to get into the software business all over the place - particularly where there are long term Internet infrastructure plays. The software business is higher margin and commands higher valuations.

Informix seems like a bargain - less than 2X annual revenue, and it seems as if finocchio has cleaned up the company and rebuilt much of the organization. It's just waiting for someone to buy it.
