You're rebuttal is full of inconsistancies (typical short) and improbable statements

"Shorting stocks is not "un-American". Shorters are not nefarious."
Another statement that is unfounded and without proof! Unless of course you short only non-American businesses.

and again:
"Press releases tell investors the story that the company wants

Are you implying that the SEC/Nasdaq would allow investors to be mislead. If you are then you are undermining the entire US economy.
