Importance of VOLUME.. today's watch list.. Post number 19536.. I've gotten some comments about the previous posts but when I re-read I noted I 'glossed over' something important. In IBI I mentioned: "you have had 2 major uptrends in this one and the volume patterns are picture perfect as well" I should have elaborated at what to look for to determine 'picture perfect' volume pattern. One of the most distinguishing characteristics of 'good' stocks are volume ratios. When a stock like QLGC, CMVT, has its inevitable correction the volume is particularly low on pullbacks and very high on breakouts to the upside.. that is why it is a must before you decide your stock is really under ACCUMULATION to have high volume.. I personally use the volume 1/30 day 150%.. parameter meaning volume on day of breakout or impending breakout is 150% more than average 30 day volume for that stock.
