True Story: Back in '78, the student counsel at my high school presented a double feature, the first movie of which was Reefer Madness (the second feature was Young Frankenstein). Around '88 I did an in detail genealogy and, lo and behold, found out that Thelma White (nee Wolpe), the female lead, Mae, of Reefer Madness was related! I had a nice talk with her and she sent me all sorts of stories about her life. She was a minor star, had a terrible illness that ended her acting career, and went on to be a very successful agent in Hollywood. - Jeff
