Jenna:
As a fellow teacher and lifetime learner, I really must compliment the thought you are putting into the educational aspects of the site.
Your research is so thorough. For those wishing to learn TA, you don't simply display charts, you explain to us what we are seeing, in detail. And you tell us why what we are seeing should happen as you hope it will. This is the first I've seen this anywhere on the internet sites.
The tremendous labor it had to have taken to do the "MarketGems on Silicon Investor" does not go unnoticed by many here either, I'm sure. I have a good friend who went through the posts on the Metastock email list and did basically the same thing and sent them all to me. I know the kind of time he told me it took. When I printed it out, it was over 300 pages. This is painstaking work.
To bring together the news and fundamentals into the technicals is time consuming as well.
Over time, we are learning to fish for ourselves and apply what you are teaching us to other stocks. However, I've discovered that a person can get overwhelmed with too many stocks because your picks get mixed with picks on other threads, newsletters, chat rooms, etc. When that happens, information overload also happens and one becomes overwhelmed. And in eagerness to make money, one tries to find the best bang for the buck quickly and makes fatal mistakes.
But I have also noticed if one simply takes your carefully chosen picks, studies your charts, fundamentals, and rationale, they do indeed have a full plate and its a great way for a beginning swing/daytrader to learn.
Thank you for simplifying our lives. You are making my learning rewarding and fun.
And that is a mark of a great teacher.
