Been watching TLC on TV. "The First Thousand Years of Christianity." They stated several times the reason the Roman Catholic Church claims Peter as their own apostle is because he was in Rome, and Jesus told him, that He would build His Church upon Peter, the Rock. I know Paul was in Rome for many years teaching before he was be-headed by the Romans but do not remember reading in the Bible that Peter had a ministry in Rome. Is it common knowledge that Peter was in Rome and perhaps helped to start the Roman Catholic religion?
