Industrialization and rail roads were examples of physical efforts after energy was empowered, steam and electric gave mankind that giant leap forward in 20th century which laid grounds for a further breakthrough in many a disciplines as never before. However, one thing is unique in annals of human history and that is neural development as I was discussing with Wang Wei the other day the physical development of human body that is its motor functions were always the easier part, the most difficult trajectory of our growth was increasing of our brain mass which gave us the skills of interaction or cognition, for motor skills on 1/4th of the brain was required for language and higher skills the other 3/4th.
It was the development of the other 3/4th that took 2 million years until the cave man in Europe could draw some paintings 200,000 years back. In my opinion pre-historic time gives no evidence of domestication of dog for example it was only possible in last 10,000 years of human history. Now death of distance to be every where a new phenomenon a proud virtue of Gods only is now being shared by proud human beings we see the same phenomenon at the same time in five continents, this is a development which has opened new horizons.
The rail road and industrialization period never were able to conquer distance they could reduce it only but they did lay the foundation for exponential growth, what we see in last 25 years is 100 times in excess in terms of wealth and knowledge creation if compared with the whole human history never before so much knowledge has been at the finger tips of human beings and never before human beings have been so well connected without interference of politics and religion, these divisive forces are losing ground and human love is coming to fore. Every great nation on earth today has some scars to show for its liberty and for its egalitarian values, prosperity and peace result from melting of human color, creed and race in a huge pool of resource that have collective vision of freedom of expression and freedom of thought.
Of-course fusion will have initial strong adverse reaction however the growth of GDP of a nation is a strong function of these particularities related to socio - economic character of a society, modern technology offers to build bridges faster, it offers tools for the optimization of human brain power therefore in my opinion this is a unique experience in annals of human society and what we are witnessing now is just finger tip of an iceberg.. Man has finally discovered to rely on the final frontier to tap human inter-connectivity and release unprecedented energies towards human growth. In an economy when every one is every where freed from distance the possibilities of slow down in short term may be still their but in medium term be prepared for exponential growth as never seen before.. I agree that one cannot trade markets on these dreams but the fact remains that it is always good to feel great about this era we live in.. For markets we will be our banal self the same old principles of greed and fear reign supreme. |
