Q's priorities:

A. Solidifying and enhancing the Q's dominant position in CDMA

1. IPR's - with patent position as core
2. R&D superior to competitors

B. Expansion of CDMA worldwide

1. CDMAOne.
Rapid introduction in Japan, China when possible, Mexico, Brazil, Australia et al. Major growth in Asia and Latin America. North America of course. Cracking Fortress Europa from the East (and GSM overlays when and if bureaucratic restrictions permit).

2. Data within CDMA

IS-95 B, C, and other progressive improvements
Conversion of phones for internet acesss (Palm Pilot, etc.

3. Separate data track Per Viterbi's vision

The joint venture with Microsoft
Other initiatives yet unknown by the Q separately

4. 3rd Generation

Convergence on CDMA2000 with backward compatibility
Effective participation in WCDMA if separate standards

Means:

1. Ongoing enhancement of ASICs and expansion of their sales worldwide
2. Effective support of key buildouts such as Globalstar with essential CDMA satellite technology and basestation installation and upgrades
3. Similar support to terrestrial CDMA operating systems worldwide
4 .Cutting edge handsets to stimulate innovation

Chaz

Note: While discussions of multiple facets of the Q's business are fun, seemed like a brief focus on what the essentials are might be productive. Just IMO.
