one caveat: if you can't value businesses better than mr market than get a mutual fund ;-) roq, you are absolutely correct. if everyone in the market decides it is time to sell then maybe, maybe, 1% get out huge profits, maybe another couple % get out with nice gains and the rest are either happy to be breakeven or newly destitute. this is a pyramid scheme. they eventually all break down. look at social security. ;-)
