Coug-- we are living through a period of marked economic slowdown. I don't think that many of these latest developments have trickled down to 80% of humanity. We still have very low penetration of PC's in US homes around 40% imagine if in next 5 years this penetration reaches 80 % like TV's 98%, in case of TV we have this content which has given birth to a new industry but if connectivity increases to 80% of Us houses we may have productivity jumping from present levels to much higher, now US is only 250 million of the global population if even 200 million more are connected globally which is a very much a possibility this connectivity can lead to new paradigm and new leap forward that may have different dimensions all together, the over-capacity and over industrialization may vanish altogether. I think that cheaper way of consuming energy and more sustainable sources of energy will make human cycle move forward much faster. The growth in my opinion has not even started it has just begun, we are discovering very primitive kind of chips now but 1000 MHz will give us tools to develop computing power that will take us to a new age, for me 21st century will be far more exciting experience to live than 20th century was the age of enlightenment when mortals like Victor Hugo and Leonardo Vinci walked on this earth was not the end of enlightenment it was just the beginning so is now.. FWIW... Ike
