Forgive my scepticism but i think the the y2k problem will ultimately proved to be yet another overhyped storyline ,business has been aware for a long time about it and i am confident solutions will be in place ,the only area where i think there will likely be poor preparation will be in areas not driven by the profit motive ,the irs or the air traffic system come immediately to mind.
remember a few years ago how all the pundits were predicting that the world would be taken over by japan and the asian tigers .with more bearing on epic the pundits not even 6 months ago were predicting the the price drop in oil was just temporary and it would soon recover now the pundits are saying that it will be 5 years or more before oil creeps back above 20 dollars a barrel.north america is currently awash in oil and natural gas and im sure right now its much cheaper for a company with cash to buy up companies with proven reserves but no money than to bother with something like epic which has nothing proven .this is already happening in the oil patch with the recent merger of ocean energy and seagull.
the internet boosters of epic are subtly preparing the ground for a change in story from epic being a coal gas exploration company to a gas storage company .its amazing how these juniors keep trying to reinvent themselves from gold to silver to whatever commodity is in demand of which there are precious few right now.
continued----
