Gary removed his body for the good of the company - Fernandes retired for the benefit of the company in my opinion. His contributions are well known and I hope the new management uses his consulting arrangement. It was patently obvious to him that he was a lightening rod with respect to the analysts and there was nothing he could do to quickly remove this perception. Therefore, I am not surprised that his retirement package is taking some shots. He earned every penny of it. He could have made a lot more if he did not make a couple of really dumb mistakes likes selling a major chunk of his stock last year. Alberthal also did the same thing. It cost both of them dearly and it cost the rest of us who are still long in EDS. At this point, any new management will be a giant plus for the stockholders and I will be happy if Bugs Bunny is named as soon as possible. This is what I want for Christmas.
