Good points, I can relate to the UI vs the core.

About installation, isn't NT 5.0 a pain for the average
person to install? Even Win98? Usually, these come
pre-installed correct?

So, what if Linux beefed up its UI, had more user friendly
applications, and was pre-installed. Some simple
solutions that would advance Linux a long ways.

Also, I tend to thinkof Linux more in the commercial field
rather than the consumer field.

Re; pinched nerve

I am very familiar with this problem. Do the following:

1) start getting more exercise
(stretching helps a lot)

2) quit staring at the computer monitor for so many hours:-)

that's what gets me...it's partly caused by old sports injuries,
but aggravated by the above.

let me know if you need more. I could write the book;-)
