There is no termoil here. Bishop and Bob Stewart, the former pres. & CEO, have been best of friends, and Stewart is still involved with the CO. (It's Stewart's Baby!)
Bishop has been brought in for his credibility and name.
Re: stock price movement on news.
I have noted that the news of the Canadian alliance was not mentioned on the Dow Jones. Most brokers, althogh can get news from other services, use DJ as the main source of news updates. They have to go and actualy search for news on other wires.
I have talked to the Co. about this and they have told me that they have sent all released to date to DJ, and they have no control over if it gets put on the wire or not.
This in my own experience is true. It is very difficult for a BB stock to get coverage on the DJ unless it mentions another Co. that happens to be on the NYSE, then it is automaticly put on the DJ wire.
Anyway, I don't think that they have gotten enough PR on these last two releases.
For example, the DJ news showed that they appointed a new Pres. and CEO, but they didn't even mention his affiliation with Motorola. |
