DRAM Industry Waits For ITC Ruling
Jack Robertson

The U.S. International Trade Commission is slated to vote today on a preliminary ruling that will decide whether Taiwanese DRAM makers were responsible for this year's rapid decline in prices, which injured the U.S. DRAM industry. If the ITC does find injury, the case will move to the U.S. Department of Commerce to determine whether dumping occurred and at what level. Micron Technology Inc. filed the complaint alleging that Taiwan-based companies added significant DRAM fab capacity during a global inventory glut.
