"No I don't! I do not ask you or any other to consider the Rabbinical teachings, or any teaching for that matter that is not biblically based and can be confirmed 100% by the bible. "
Steve, What are we to do, pretend that we get none of our ideas and thoughts but from the Word of God? This is untrue. Our perception of modern Israel is based upon the historical reality, the constant Zionist influence in our media, popular news accounts as well as Fundamentalist propaganda every Sunday in Churches across America and the World. This input has influence all of us and fills our minds with false ideas. We appoach the Scriptures with these false ideas and they influence what we read. For example, as soon as a dispensationally indoctrinated Christian looks at the word Jew or Israel in the Bible he immediately assume that it is refering to the modern Jews or modern Israel. This is not a biblical understanding but an understanding superimposed on the Scriptures by propaganda. To esacape this propaganda we are forces in the a carefull study of both the Bible, modern Judaism, and the historical Churches perception of these subjects throughout the Christian era. When we do this, we soon find out that the rabbinical theories that created the Zionism of our day had already been attempted at least three times in history. This is recored in the History of the Church by Eusebius.
A proper understanding of the Bible demands that we know both contemporary and ancient history. The events that develop in the Bible presupposes that we have learned history. Where will we go for our historical perspectives of past events? Will we go to antichrist sources or will we go to Church sources? This is why it is imperative that we know the mind of the Church for the last two thousand years on every subject the study. The interpretation of Scritpure is not a private matter but requires the inspiration of the HOly Spirit no only for our day but for the whole history of the Church.
Our study of modern Israel and their place in the salvation history demands that we know the Bible, the history of the Church on the subject and the history of modern Judaism for the last two thousand years.
