They were computer-modeled from brain scans of women who have given birth. "What I think I look like."
GOsh, that is so true!!! That weird distorted self-perception is something a lot of women have all the time, not just post-pregnancy. I can look at those women and think, yeah---I look like that on a bad day. Even though I KNOW I don't, I FEEL like I do. Jan, my best friend, is a size 2 with little tiny bones and she says, "Oh, I'm getting fat!" if she goes into a 4.
I wonder if men see themselves more realistically than women. it would make an interesting study---have people choose pictures they think are closest to their body type. See who's more accurate. See if it correlates with self esteem.

I am going to bed---I had way too much to drink last night--with Jan, as a matter of fact, both our husbands being out of town- and today I feel awful. Can't even look at a bottle of wine without moaning. Also reading a funny book by Judith Viorst.

Was it Christine talking about men getting hairy as they age? Please tell me that hairy buns are NOT something we need to worry about. That's just too gross.
