UBS Securities upgraded LINEAR TECHNOLOGY to buy from hold, putting a 12-month price target of $57 on the stock. Analyst Mark FitzGerald noted the company's fiscal 2Q earnings of $0.40 a share reported Tuesday were above his estimate of $0.38. Said the company's fundamentals were improving.
