Mike,

I'm somewhere close to Chico or Red Bluff or Redding (not to be confused with Redlands). There's a good six inches of snow out there, pretty to look at, but my Cougar of the four-wheeled variety does not take kindly to handling snow and ice--a heavy, big-engined XR-7 not withstanding--and I have to respect it for that. Thankfully, it's loaded up with antifreeze.

I have no idea where Dutch Flat is. Could we be thinking of Myers Flat. I think that's up by Garberville which is up by Eureka and, sadly, nowhere near here, and where I'd rather be.

So, where are you? I'd be surprised to hear you're not up at Tahoe worshiping The Great White Dump.
