Dear Skeeter Bug:<somewhat off topic>
You state: > #1,i don't short. #2 i don't follow anybody. #3, i buy puts. #4. i don't own puts on xlnx. #5.
You sure have changed your attitude in just a month! I tried to look for your somewhat naive and yet arrogant posts to me that you and your self claimed god of investment - whats his name - Mike Burke, made to me on XLNX thread and also on that funny thread Ask Mike Burke thread, but regretfully it is difficult to find those posts since SI does not provide a quick search! However I remembered you did make some comments on the Yahoo XLNX message board and since Yahoo does provide an easy way to look for a specific post I thought o walk with you in the memory lane of not too long ago (in fact just about 5 weeks ago).
Anyway, Lets us walk in the memory lane:
The following post was made on 10/22/98 - XLNX was trading at around $37/shr. messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com Here is what you posted on Yahoo XLNX message board on 10/22/98:
Have a look at what we are saying out on Michael Burke's SI page. We are so far ahead of the curve, it's funny ;-) This bloated bow wow is due for some tough love, and you guys just don't get it. ;-) Also check out how we trashed one of your friend's out there. We really embareassed him ;-) I am pretty funny even if I do say so myself. Come on guys, get with the program. Michael Burke knows flapdoodle when he sees it, and you neophyte investors are due for some tough love soon enough!! Remember, "Burke" means death by strangulation, and he has a strangle hold on this market.
And let us not forget the following post on 10/21/98 - XLNX was at around $38/shr.
messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com Here is a text of that post:
You are in store for some tough love soon enough. Me and my buddy Michael Burke on SI have this scam all figured out. As he says...."But, even taking the 5% eps at face value, why buy a risky stock like this when you can get a similar return from Treasuries? Selling at nearly 30 times eps, this is a bloated bugger." And remember, Burke means "death by strangulation"(Irish) and he has a strangle hold on this market...
Skeeter, my friend, we all in one way or another are driven by our egos. No one wants to admit when they are wrong. We all think of ourselves as genuine investment minds of the 20th century! However, seldom people go so far to become so arrogant with their self claimed investment mind as Mike Burke and his cult like followers have (such as yourself - although you now apparently no longer follow him!).
Anyway...
With all due respect, and best regards,
Addi Jamshidi
P.S - oh and by the way, XLNX is currently trading at around $61/shr! |
