If they had a few nukes (which they don't) and they wanted to use them, do you really think they'd make taking out US satellites a high priority?

The North Koreans don't even have a launch vehicle capable of putting a payload in orbit, in any case.

If the only reason these radiation proof chips are useful is in the context of EMP loss protection, then I guarantee you they won't make Intel much money. On the other hand, if they lower satellite loss rates due to solar flares, etc., maybe they are worthwhile. But the article didn't say anything about that, did it?
