Dear Lutz,
Yeah, feel terrible, especially since my friend Sal Habash warned me on Tuesday already that JDEC was not a winner. He specifically pointed to SAP's moving downstream to mid-sized companies.
Pity, I'm emotionally attached to their software (always a bad thing for investments), especially OneWorld, but I guess SAP, especially their ASAP program must be taking market share from everybody. And to think I had SAP shares when they were trading at DM250 a couple of years back, and sold them for a nice profit at DM500.
Hey, I'm based in Geneva, I see you are based in Berlin, so we both have to struggle to get the latest and greatest on tech stocks.
I've got a large portfolio, and JDEC is only one of them, but it was my December favourite unfortunately...even bet calls on them. My next bet is GPSI whose earnings come out on Dec 22nd, I'm betting they'll come out good. Ever heard of them?
Right now, my strategic bets are on ASND, CSCO, LU, BRCM, MSFT, INTC, YHOO, AOL and RMBS. That's where I've put my retirement kitty, and the rest I trade.
But question: do u think JDEC is dead forever, or do you think there's hope for them in the future?
And who are your long term favourites?
Thanks for your mail anyhow.
BTW, how do u like SNAFU, is it a good product? |
