what you miss is that amzn is stealing the business from these companies, and as amzn
continues to expand into new areas, it will steal business in those areas also. so if books
do not expand as quickly, videos and toys will more than offset slower book growth if it
should ever occur.

Blankmind,

I real answer. I thank you from both LP and myself:-)

I do have a question however, if AMZN is stealing business from "these companys," why did the same store sames for Barnes and Noblels superstores for the last six quarters increase every quarter?

yes others will try to imitate amzn, but the majority of the populance will continue to
shop online at the brandname site where they feel more comfortable knowing

Will not the majority of new populance to the web be more familiar with toys r us, Barnes and Noble, etc. and know they are not a fly by night firm? In fact, would not AMZN be considered more of a fly by night?

Glenn

PS I am just playing devils advocate now.
