I agree, and I would never otherwise have done this---but have really done a major in depth study of this, and my finding is this,in two to
5years I will have lost my 10k investment,or I will have a huge payoff
on this--like those who bought AMGEN when it was in the pennies--and quite true the high IQ management in business terms were hopeless, and unqualified for handling funding---but the key matter is this company is being taken over/merging with an English company.
My final rationalization for this unheard of,for me,buying a stock such as this is I think every portfolio should have a within it one
holding that is boom or bust, but that ONLY at a sum of money that
you truly can kiss off,if it does not work out--I think this holding is about 2% of my account---o,yes,one of the conditions of the merger
was the takeover company purchased and retired all the remaining convertibles.I don't name this "madness" stock of mine---as I do not
believe any one should do this on some hope of getting rich.I enjoy
your thread Roger, and am now paper shorting stocks, and back testing,to
see if I am getting competent.Good Luck,Max90
