Diana, interesting article. The article says how MSFT might beat the DOJ. Now the DOJ is dealing with "supposed" antitrust violations already committed by MSFT via a trail of e-mails etc. If it is fact that AOL/Netscape/Sun have violated some other patent, does not preclude the fact that MSFT has been involved in antitrust. It just provides DOJ to talk things over with Sun/AOL and require them to settle with Eolas. I do not understand why the author thinks that a patent infringement would cause the DOJ to drop the case against MSFT. Is that how our legal system works? After all remember the deal between DEC/Intel and the DOJ did not intervene.

You know we cry foul when the Japanese dump in the US market to gain market share. What if MSFT dumped their Internet Explorer on unsuspecting customers of WIN95/98 tp stiffle NSCP? Is that fair?
