Ken, What I don't understand is why the Noles, who lost to a mediocre team, should get the nod over UCLA, which lost to a mediocre team, or Kansas State, which lost to a pretty good team, or Ohio State, which lost to a mercurial team, or Arizona, which lost to UCLA, or Tulane, well, that one I understand. <G>

I guess the rule is, if you have to lose, lose early. But, if the schedule strength is the key to differentiation between teams with one loss, I don't see the Noles as a lock. Heck, Wisconsin lost a few games back, too, as did Arizona. And, if you are talking strength of schedule, UCLA still had the toughest. Besides, which, they were jobbed by Big East criminals, er, officials. <G> K State was also jobbed, but it was their own league that called a non-touchdown a touchdown. And the Aggies almost certainly would have gotten in with 4 plays to do so.

So, as expected, the BCS is bogus. If Tenn wins, then they are champs. If the one loss team, whoever that may be, whups up on them, at least 5 other teams will have a claim to the title just as strong as the team that beats the Vols.
