Ben, CompUSA in Sunnyvale, CA has no HiFD in stock. Even though the
flyer in the local Sunday paper advertises HiFD.

I went to the store and couldn't find HiFD on the shelves. Asked a
sales associate who acted annoyed, but pointed me to another aisle.
There were ZIPs, LS-120s and even JAZ as well as SparQ [still $200].
No HiFD drive, although they had 3 [I counted] HiFD disks [not
priced]. So went to the service counter and asked another sales
associate. He proceeded to look through the flyer to find the
sku#, punched it into his computer and said "none in stock".
I asked when and he said "probably next week" [which is computer
store sales associate speak for "I don't have a clue"].

I asked "would HiFD work with an iMAC'. He said yes. Me: "But
I've been told you need a 1.44 floppy to install HiFD". He
said "you'd use a CD-ROM or the internet". He had no clue.

It was fun.<G> I don't have an iMAC.
