To be honest I don't care what the Japanese do. The pattern has seemed to me to be a bit superior in form and frankly I don't care that they get burnt at every turn.

The US has made it's mistakes as well. My observation with respect to what Jim said was only that many people did not worry about the Japanese purchase of these properties, as they were overvalued to start with.

In other words, I thought then as well as now that the Japanese investment was ill-fated. I got the impression from Jim's remarks that the Japanese were wise in their play.

This could not be farther from the truth and the Japanese foray into Asian debt is just a replay.

As long as they have the idea that they can do whatever they like we will see further instances of this, my opinion only.
