George / Richland Petroleum

I have always liked Richland Petroleum. Problem has been over developement with horizonal wells. They're sucking up the oil to quickly and their discovery pools are experiencing rapid declines. Reserves will be effected and year end report will carry the brunt of the information.

On the positive side, they acknowledge their problem and have been mixing vertical and horizonal drilling to be cost effective and yield longer life of reserves. It would appear added production has been offset by the declining wells. I also like the guy running the company.

I am watching Richland closely and will be ready to step in once there are signs they are on track once again. I would be anxious to learn of 1997 plans and projections.

Permit me to say that personal research on this company will bear no fruit. You must contact them picking up year end detail and forecast for 1997. Use this information for decision making.
