Dave,
When we were up in MI over Thanksgiving holiday, we saw plenty of deer on the roads north and east of Lansing. We did pass a small truck who had just hit 2 deer and one of them was lying on the side of the highway, and the other was lying in the middle of the highway. So you not only have to watch for live deer, but for dead ones as well... Yes, I feel sorry for the deer too. It's a shame highways have become a sort of population control for them. Glad you weren't hurt.
