William, when the power goes out on 12/31/99, if not sooner, where will this leave amzn? (not to mention just about any other co.)

When the spot and rolling blackouts hit, I don't think too many folks will be thinking about ordering books over an internet that will not be functioning.

This is not negotiable; it is going to occur. I work in the elec utility industry, and the emphasis now is on cya, not preventing the problem, because it is just too late.
