Potential Customers that would get GLBM going
In the past Mr. McCaffrey has done a good job of landing some vary large customers.
Lets review:
Customers such as Storage Technology, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, General Electric, SAP America, Systems Management Specialists, Inc., Ferntree Computer Corporation (Australia), Banc One Services Corporation, Southern California Gas Company, Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc., Deluxe Corporation
He has also set up some type of relationship (distributor? sales agent?) with the following:
Hitachi - marketing? BMC - strategic relationship SAP - Running the networks at their shows
This is an admirable accomplishment for such a small player. When will the industry/market start to take them seriously? Lets talk about who they would need to really get the show on the road.:
Telcos
My first suggestion would be a telephone company. Telephone companies are just large computer networks when you really get down to it. They have redundant systems is each and every pop in the country. Wouldn't a VCC or two or twenty be helpful in this pursuit? Potential customers AT&T, MCI, RBOCs, foreigns, or even the new digital boys like Quest et al. If any of these players started with the company it is likely, in my estimation, that they would start small. If they did adopt the technology after a test period, I thing we would be talking about many multiple units.
Anyone else have any ideas on a customer dream team that cold get the ball rolling? |
