C, I'm not at all offended by your comments because you're disagreeing with me just as I disagreed with Leuthy, particularly in the manner in which the post was written (both his and mine). My use of "disingenuous" perhaps should have been tempered but my objection (see the post preceding this one) is that a deluge of information, discrete facts, does not a case make.

And as he is an engineer and I am not I would defer to any technically-based comparisons, but none were offered.

And Ascend may indeed fall significantly for reasons I'm not able to foresee just now - falls out of favor with institutions, maybe, or a Cisco or a Bay comes up with a whiz-bang device that does it all for 50% less and they give a $5 rebate also, who knows? I just don't see it happening for the reasons Mr. L. gave. I regret if I stated it in an offensive manner and it would be a great loss to us all if people were discouraged from posting contrary views.
