X, The key point here is that the Boy Scouts was not started as a religious organization, so it is not their turf. I don't walk into churches and scold them for forcing their beliefs on those that choose to attend. We're talking about a public organization here that was chartered by Congress, and as such should remain neutral on the god issue.

Belief in mythology is a poor glue to hold society together. What we have here is a huge example of "The Emperors New Clothes".
