Bizarre scene now. This is starting to look like a big battle brewing and as you said that can only mean a declining stock price. The provocative notion that that is what someone wants to see happen is a real heads up for shareholders if true. If the buyers on this dip know better how this will come out and scoop up cheap shares from distressed holders facing more uncertainty, then real questions would arise ethically. This would be especially true if they had sold short at much higher prices. One implication of this power struggle is positive in that there must be something worth fighting for or why bother.
