Marty, I have too much capital invested here to be less than certain of basic facts. Hype-driven rumors by anonymous yahoos will be summarily ignored. It's despicable how losers abuse the medium and put on pretenses of knowledge in a juvenile attempt to prop up their stock positions. They would be better served learning how to read a balance sheet.

On page 97 of APM's 8K dated 12/3/98,
sec.gov

it is clearly stated that First Plaza Group Trust is the $15 million dollar investor. First Plaza is GM's pension fund and is run by General Motors Investment Management. Here's a trick you might want to try. Click on the above document. Search for "General Motors", then search for "Samsung". Tell me what you get. :)

Also, his idea of a Samsung + Maxtor + APM is funny horseshit. If you really want to take flights of fancy on consolidation into vertical players, you would envisage a couple "American" axes, IBM/WDC and Seagate; a couple "Japanese", Quantum/MKE/TDK and Fujitsu; and one "Korean", Samsung/Maxtor/Readrite. But most likely, everyone will muddle through pretty much the way they are. Except those that kick the bucket.
