I read your lasts post and return you the compliments.

I liked your posts. I agree with you as you mentionned that ASCEND's IDSL (Sounds like xDSL or ADSL) is based on ISDN signalling protocol management differences. And that's the reason why the rate is no more than 128 Kbps (like for 2 ISDN B Channels bundling).

ADSL works with complex Digital Signal Processing and allows much higher speeds. It's clearly not what ASCEND has got. Let's call that a Marketing effect : It looks like xDSL, Smells like xDSL, but it's not xDSL.

At the Marketing point of view it is very clever. Some financial analysts may have done the confusion.
