Hi Jack! .... OT ...."A Joke for Holiday Parties!" The Captain of a sailing vessel was told by one of his sailors: "Ship ahoy, Sir!... A-A-A Pirate Ship!" The Captain looked cooly toward the horizon through his glass and shouted... "Make ready for war!!" ... and told the sailor "Bring me my red shirt!" The sailor did so. Soon there was a fierce battle, and the pirate ship was defeated. Next day: The Captain of the sailing vessel was hailed by the same man: "Ship ahoy, Sir... No ..Two! ... T-Two Pirate Ships!" The Captain looked cooly toward the horizon once more and shouted... "Make ready for war!!" ... and told the sailor "Bring me my red shirt!" . The sailor did it again. It was was fiercer battle, Yet both pirate ships were defeated! With admiration, the Sailor hailed the captain, thankful they had such a good one. But was tempted to ask, and ask he did: "Captain?" "...Why do you request a red shirt for the battles??" The Captain replied: "If i am wounded, your mates won't notice the blood and lose their courage -right when we need them the most." The sailor thought it was a very good answer! He thanked the Captain! He figured they had an unusually smart Leader, indeed! Then, some days later the sailor saw vessels again... "Captain! -Captain!" He shouted; "Now seven!!" "Seven Pirate Ships -ahoy!! The Captain looked out over the horizon once more, calculating! .....finally shouting... "Make Ready for WAR!!" ... And he told the sailor... "Bring me my Brown Pants!" Dave
