If I may joint the discussion late on the issue of Boeing. I think there is some excellent value in BA at this level. Regardless of whether or not it is a Buffett stock, I think that it will be a good long-term investment. It is economic certainty that as the per-capita income of nations increase that air travel increases along with it. There is virtually no substitute for air travel when it comes to tourism, something all cultures do more of as their wealth grows. Please look at the persistent growth in revenue passenger miles over time, along with the high load factors which will lead to more aircraft being purchased:

This is a powerful trend that will continue for decades more, IMO. I think BA is an excellent way to play this, especially with the potential cost cutting and existing duopoly in the industry. The problems in Asia have provided a great buying opportunity especially if you believe, as I do, that they are transitory in nature.
