"Not assuming the debt"??? Ummmm, DCI will try to collect $18M, and has paid IXC $16M in corporate assets for the "privilege." Please explain to me how this is different than "assuming the debt." If DCTC can't colect, they are in the hole for $16M. Don't try to play word games here. Bottom line is, they effectively assumed the debt. And the market isn't ecstatic about this "great deal."
