Whenever there is a takeover, there will be some people especially
professional traders try to make some-short term profit so I really
don't count on them to vote yes or no. I suspect most of them will
sell their shares if there is a profit and won't wait for the final
decision day. Usually the new buyers will stand-by and watch any news
and they will jump out as quick as they jump in.

The Repap and Avenor's shares which traded after the takeover
announcement will change hand at least few times before the decision is made. It is hard to predict who are the owners so it is even harder to predict what they will do.
