I would disagree with your assessment. There was no "outcry" for news release. The company did not have to release news to keep shareholders "pacified". If there had been an outcry for news and the news release was indeed inconsequential, you would have seen a sell off by disappointed investors. This did not happen! Again, this news release is important in its implications: DGIV is here, it is working. it is shipping its products, it is negotiating for contracts.... I think the news release is more important than at first glance. Of course it is only my opinion. Time will tell :)
