Let's hope the South Carolina news signals a slowing of anti-MSFT bandwagon jumping. The timing sure is interesting, right at the end of the DOJ's case, when you'd think anti-MSFT sentiment would be at it's peak. Makes one wonder if the DOJ told the states it had a better case than it presented.

The strong wording from the SC AG is certainly encouraging: 'Recent events have proven that the Internet is a segment of our economy where innovation is thriving,'' Condon said in a statement. 'Further government intervention or regulation is unnecessary and, in my judgement, unwise.'

I still think Jackson will find some way to rule against MSFT, at least partially. But AGs are political animals. Are they sensing the case is going down?
