Nihil,

Interesting analysis, and I agree with most of it. How would you compare the Russian collapse with the transition out of Communism that the Chinese are now engaged in? I can't say that I like the way the Chinese have treated the people who wanted to speed that transition up, but I have to admit that while problems still abound, they do seem to be setting up to emerge in better shape than the Russians.
