For many countries it's been an inflationary depression with devaluing currencies and economic stagnation. With our trade deficit growing dollars will come home to roost and we will suffer the same fate. If gold is being manipulated along with silver that is a plus in my book for the metals bulls. Manipulations always fail and usually bring worse side effects than that they are meant to cure.
