Thanks for taking the time to respond to my questions. I'll spend some more time considering what you have said. I think you are quite right about natural gas... if weather suddenly toughens up, I believe we may see a good strengthening of prices.

I'm also wondering about the effect of transportation-related industry in forward purchasing of fuel supplies? Is there anywhere where this type of information is tracked. I know that a couple of months ago, an analyst was writing about Air Canada and its fuel purchase contracts. It was supposed to have locked in purchases until around the end of December '98 at prices considerably above what we are seeing now. Could a lot of large consumers of fuels be hanging back from locking in forward purchasing, or is all of this calculated fairly closely in demand/supply figures? Could we see them coming forward locking in purchases all of a sudden in advance of an expected price increase... or perhaps even precipitating one?
