Just to make sure this thread doesn't wander back into a completely intellectual and serious discussion, I will kill two Cornish hens with one post and de-escalate any attempts to raise the IQ level of this thread to incomprehensibility.
FOr Hubert-I baked Cornish Hens tonight; do they count as wild game?
For CGB-I used recipes from the Two Fat Ladies.
I worked very hard.
I stuffed them with a rice-apricot-pignoli-butter-ginger dressing.
I reduced wine to mix with butter and orange juice for the baste.
I served them with avocado shells filled with a mixture of avocado, olives, tomatoes, and onion--with a cilantro mayonnaise dressing.

Ammo said, "Those are little birds."

CW said,"We can't eat those! They look like real animals."

"They're small chickens!" I explained patiently.

"Babies?? You want us to eat babies?" Ammo put his plate back down.

"They're not babies. They're small hens."

"Dwarfs! You're serving us dwarf chickens? That's gotta be some kind of discrimination." CW put his plate down.

""Chickens don't have bones and skin like that," said Ammo, suspiciously poking his hen; he has had maybe too many Chicken McNuggets. "Oh, jeez! What's inside it?"

CW took a fork and pulled out some stuffing. "Gross! That's so GROSS! His insides are coming out!"

"They're supposed to. That's stuffing!Eat it!" I smacked his hand.

"Mom, I can't eat that. It's too alive." Ammo began to back away from the table.

"It's like in The Christmas Story when the duck is looking at them." Cw said.

"How can it look at you? It has no head, " I cried, in exasperation.

Ammo began to gag. "That's worse," he said. "Can I just have a peanut butter sandwich?"

"I'll eat the salad." said CW. "I'm on a diet."

Tomorrow they get eggplant and cauliflower.
I have two delicious stuffed Cornish hens here if anyone is interested.
